(Image courtesy of Shena Ramsay)This fall, “The DePaulia" student newspaper staff will continue to produce a print edition for readers, while adhering to the university's health and safety guidelines. Faculty, staff and students who visit DePaul's campuses are welcome to pick up editions, distributed every Monday, at the following locations:
- Lincoln Park Student Center
- Loop Campus DePaul Center
- The Ray Meyer Fitness Center
- John T. Richardson Library
- Schmitt Academic Center
- Arts and Letters Hall
- The Theatre School
- The Lewis Building/College of Law
- College of Computing and Digital Media
- Munroe Hall
- Belden/Racine Hall
- Clifton/Fullerton Hall
- Centennial Hall
- Sanctuary Hall
"The students really wanted to do this. They feel that a physical copy of the paper has a greater impact than a website," says Marla Krause, faculty advisor to the newspaper. “I wholeheartedly supported this, and we are getting great response from people on campus when the paper is dropped off each Monday."
Krause added that DePaulia staff members are following all social distancing requirements of the university and wearing masks in the newspaper office.
Newspaper staff plan to continue print editions throughout the fall quarter and beyond, depending on the university's decisions about future academic quarters. In addition to a print edition, the paper is available digitally on issuu.com and online every Monday, and as-needed with breaking news.
