As construction of Wintrust Arena nears completion, the DePaul men's and women's basketball court was laid for the first time, giving a glimpse of what fans can expect to see at the opening game against Notre Dame on Nov. 11.

Keeping with tradition, the new court is named for Ray and Marge Meyer who dedicated over four decades to DePaul's basketball program from 1942-84.

Made from the wood of maple trees, the court features the signature Blue Demon's logo in the center and Chicago's world-famous skyline down the length of the playing surface. The city's landmark buildings are easily identifiable as the start of the 2017-18 season draws near.

The court was produced by Connor Sports who also is responsible for the NCAA Final Four courts each season. To keep it in pristine condition, the floor will be removed and stored after each game. For more about the court installation and upcoming basketball season, visit www.DePaulBlueDemons.com.
