The Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois has named Jennifer Rosato Perea, dean for DePaul's College of Law, the recipient of its 2020 Aguila Award.The organization's highest honor, the Aguila Award highlights individuals who have displayed dedication to the HLAI, the legal community and the broader Latino community. Rosato Perea will receive the award at the organization's 25th anniversary virtual awards ceremony next month.
Established in 1995, the HLAI aims to promote high standards of competence and integrity among Hispanic attorney and communities across Illinois. Through mentoring, networking and events, the organization aims to encourage legal education, civil rights and empowerment of the Hispanic community.
