Paul Booth, a professor in the College of Communication, presents his project, "VARC Lab: The Virtual and Augmented Reality Communication Lab," during DePaul's inaugural Innovation Day in 2020. The third annual event is set for Jan. 28, 2022.

To promote greater collaboration among faculty across the university, as well as with external organizations, DePaul will sponsor the Convergent Research Grant Competition. Two $10,000 grants will be awarded to recognize collaborative, convergent research projects. Finalists will present and grant recipients will be announced at the third annual Innovation Day 2022, which will be held on Friday, Jan. 28.

Innovation Day is set to take place this year in person, with a focus on interdisciplinary research. Faculty panels will highlight research and innovation projects with social impact, as well as industry partnerships.

Leading up to Innovation Day, the Office of Research Services will host two lunch and learn workshops focused on convergent research, best practices for collaborative projects and networking opportunities for faculty. The workshops also will provide details on the Convergent Research Grant Competition.
