Library book drops now open

Lincoln Park Campus
(DePaul University/Jeff Carrion)
Book drop
John T. Richardson Library book drop.

When DePaul moved to remote services in the spring, many students, faculty and staff had books and other items checked out from the University Library. If you still have overdue books, you can now return them to the Library book drops. These are located near the Quad side entrance to the John T. Richardson Library and at the entrance of the Loop Library in the DePaul Center.

Equipment such as DVDs, video games and consoles, and other technology cannot be returned via the book drops. Please hold on to any equipment, and the Library will provide further details about mailing it back, including packing instructions and providing postage for patrons to return equipment free of charge.

Items will be quarantined upon return to ensure the safety of our faculty, staff and students. Items may not be discharged from your account for several days. Overdue fines are still being waived at this time. All DePaul and I-Share materials have been renewed through Oct. 2, 2020.

To learn more about Library services during this unusual time, check out our COVID-19 and DePaul Library Services guide.  If you have any questions, please Ask a Librarian for help.
