Faculty and staff: Volunteers needed for Thanksgiving MEAL with DePaul

International Student and Scholar Services is in search of volunteers for its annual Thanksgiving MEAL with DePaul program. Faculty and staff interested in participating can fill out the online application by Friday, Nov. 9

Scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, Nov. 22, 2018, MEAL with DePaul is intended to help international students learn more about U.S. food and culture by dining with a DePaul faculty or staff member at their home. DePaul has international students and scholars from more than 100 countries around the world here at DePaul University, and many of them do not go home over Thanksgiving and the December intercession.

You don’t have to be a top chef, have a large home or even a large family to be a host; students and scholars are simply looking for real personal connections with the university community. The meal shared together is not related to a specific holiday, but participants are encouraged to pick a meal that helps showcase their family’s culture.
