Craig Klugman, a professor of bioethics and health humanities in the College of Science and Health.This summer, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services named DePaul's Craig Klugman to its National Biodefense Science Board. Klugman is a professor of bioethics and health humanities in the College of Science and Health. His swearing in will take place on Sept. 30.
In addition to his role as a faculty member at DePaul, Klugman has been involved with the university's COVID-19 response efforts since the spring. He serves as a member of the Restarting Campus Operations Task Force, where he lends his expertise to the group's decisions and advises committees related to community health, treatment and monitoring.
The NBSB aims to provide expert advice and guidance to the Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, and the Assistant Secretary of Preparedness and Response on scientific, technical, and other matters related to public health emergency preparedness and response.
