Internal Grants and AGIF Applicant Workshop
Set for Sept. 25, this workshop will provide faculty and staff with introductory information on soliciting internal grant funding from DePaul's University Council grant programs as well as this year's AGIF competition. The Workshop invited speakers include Council members and internal grant recipients who will be discussing the review process, key ingredients for putting together successful proposals, and present successful projects funded through the Council grant programs and AGIF.

Paid Leave Workshop
Set for Oct. 9, this workshop provides an orientation to the University Council's Paid Leave Program. Faculty interested in soliciting a leave for next academic year, or learning about the program to plan a leave for a future period are encouraged to attend.

Budget Essentials
Scheduled for Oct. 12, this workshop will cover basic elements related to designing a grant proposal budget including budgeting personnel costs for full and part-time faculty and staff, as well as other direct costs such as travel, materials and supplies, and equipment. The application of DePaul's indirect cost rate on budgets will also be covered as will the indirect cost waiver process.

Searching for External Funding
Set for Tuesday, Oct. 20, this workshop offers introductory information on searching for external grant funding. It includes an introduction to the Grant Forward subscription search engine, the federal search engine grants.gov, as well as other select public domain and federal websites. Information will also be shared on how to subscribe to select RSS feeds on upcoming deadline.

Online Institutional Animal Care and Use Protocol Submission Process
Scheduled for Friday, Oct. 23, the workshop will highlight the new online Institutional Animal Care and Use protocol submission process. The workshop is for current IACUC and anticipated IACUC users. Each IACUC member and all current IACUC users will be sent a Zoom meeting invitation for this training session; potential new users, interested in learning more about the new paperless submission process, are welcome to RSVP.
