PRAD wins again in Page competition

A team of Public Relations and Advertising graduate students from DePaul won first prize in the 2019 Arthur W. Page Society and Institute for Public Relations Case Study Competition in Corporate Communications. 

"I am so proud of this case team for the fantastic recognition. This award recognizes not just the excellent work of this team, but is made possible by the vibrancy of the PR and advertising graduate program, its faculty, students and the many top professionals that engage with our students," says Matt Ragas, associate professor in the College of Communication. This marks a record sixth year in a row that DePaul PRAD graduate students have won or placed in this competition, according to Ragas. 

Students Britt Aaron, Antoinette Iacullo, Hank Mendheim and Elise Zhang won in the communication & journalism school category for their case study "When You Wish Upon a Star: Disney ABC Puts Corporate Values First in Cancelling Roseanne." The case study originated as a final project in Ragas’ Business Skills for Strategic Communicators class. According to Page, there were 56 case entries this year from 24 universities, and the judges include chief communications officers, PR agency heads and other senior communications leaders.
