Are you looking to develop your professional standing to start a career, change jobs or advance in the workplace? Take part in the School of Continuing and Professional Studies' free, three-week online summer course,
"Reinventing Yourself."
Ideal for early professionals, career changers or those seeking to start or continue their college education, course participants will learn strategies to develop an individualized framework for their career. Participants will learn to assess their personal goals, examine why those goals are meaningful, and figure out how to reach them.
Topics for the class include developing a career plan through goal setting, articulating personal strengths and opportunities for change, reflecting on who they are in the workplace, identifying their support network, and considering what career success means for them. The course will use a combination of high-touch readings, videos and writing activities for holistic professional development.
This noncredit course begins Monday, July 20 and continues through Saturday Aug. 8. Students should expect to spend four to five hours per week on classwork and individual activities. Optional Zoom check-in sessions will be held Wednesdays and Saturdays.
