Sanitation efforts play a role in minimizing the spread of infectious disease. DePaul's Facility Operations staff is doing its part by following the Chicago Department of Public Health's guidelines in response to the concerns for COVID-19.

The following measures are being taken:

  • Janitorial staff is performing daily antibacterial wipe-downs of surfaces in public spaces to include main entrances, elevator buttons, hard surfaces in washrooms, etc.
  • Staff has confirmed that our cleaning products are effective on seasonal influenza viruses as well as COVID-19.
  • New “Cover Your Cough" signs have been placed in all washrooms.

To the extent possible, departments should provide faculty and staff with antibacterial wipes to be used daily on desks, keyboards, computer mice and phones.
