Launched in 2008, Service Speaks is an annual conference that highlights the service learning and community engagement work of DePaul students and community partners. This year's program is set for Friday, May 20. All members of the campus community are welcome to attend. Tickets are available until May 17.
Each year, Service Speaks showcases the ways students work with community partners and faculty members to advance social justice across the Chicagoland area. Student and community partner presentations highlight learning and contributions through community-based learning, internships and community-based research.
Mikki Kendall, an author, activist and cultural critic who
grew up in the Hyde Park neighborhood of Chicago, will serve as this year's
keynote speaker. Kendall's work focuses on current events, including media
representation, the politics of food, reproductive rights, and poverty and race.Service Speaks 2022
