Studio Chi and the DePaul University Library have teamed up to launch "Research Meet and Greet," a monthly networking and research sharing forum designed to foster collaboration and innovation across disciplines. The inaugural event for the series will take place on Monday, Oct. 8, at 3:30 p.m. in the John T. Richardson Library. All faculty and staff are welcome to attend.
The "Research Meet and Greet" series focuses on spreading the word about the projects and research developed across the university, and consists of invited presentations and informal, open-mic style "lightning talks." The events, open to all faculty and staff, are scheduled for the first or second Monday of the month, with the venue alternating between the Lincoln Park and Loop Campuses.
During the inaugural meeting on Oct. 8, the College of Communication's Bree McEwan will discuss her recent research regarding how social technologies influence how we perceive information and arguments. The forum scheduled for Nov. 5 will feature Kyle Grice, an assistant professor of chemistry in the College of Science and Health.
