From exploring the Land of Oz with The Theatre School to diving into game, cinema and animation with the College of Computing and Digital Media, DePaul will offer children a plethora of on-campus and remote opportunities for creative learning this summer.

Kindergarten - 8th grade

Creative Root: The Theatre School's Creative Root education program employs a holistic theater arts education strategy that embraces restorative and diverse approaches to learning that center on student and community needs. This year's summer camp will feature in-person and online experiences exploring the worlds of Oz and Neverland. Both summer sessions will dive into these classic worlds and the characters that inhabit them while learning about the tools of theater. Learn more and register.

inSTEM: The College of Education's inSTEM program is built around a love of learning, collaborating with peers and mentors, and bringing participants' creativity to life. inSTEM combines science, technology, engineering and mathematics using problem-based learning. Summer 2021 programs include sessions on solar cars, robotics and coding. Learn more and register.

Athletics Day Camps: Whether you are looking for a camp to have fun and make new friends at or a camp where you can really hone your skills, become a better player, and test your abilities against current squad members, DePaul's soccer camps are for you. DePaul Athletics will host both men's​ and women's​ camps this summer.

High school

CHA and DePaul Youth Partnership: Since 2016, the Chicago Housing Authority has teamed with DePaul's CDM to offer youth in public housing valuable skills in cinema, and game and graphic design. Program tracks include documentary filmmaking for girls, game and graphic design, and movie and TV scripts 101. Learn more and apply​.

College ID Camp: Hosted by DePaul Athletics, the One/Two-Day ID Camp is designed for any and all soccer players who have an interest in playing collegiate soccer. All training sessions expose each participant to a competitive, college level environment. DePaul Athletics will host both men's​ and women's​ sessions this summer.​

Game, Cinema and Animation Summer Academy: Hosted by the College of Computing and Digital Media, this program will take place in-person in July. Participants can choose from various program tracks, including film and TV production, game development, hand-drawn character animation, 3D modeling and animation, and screenwriting. Learn more and apply.

IRL Innovation Certificate: DePaul's Idea Realization Lab will offer industry-respected certifications in digital fabrication, electronics, internet of things, and more. If students decide to enroll at DePaul, they can turn the certificate in for college credit. Learn more and apply.

Language and culture program: Offered by International Admission, the Summer Language and Culture Program provides non-native English speakers the opportunity to explore Chicago while improving their English language skills. Participants will study alongside a diverse group of students while learning about American culture. Learn more and apply​.

Summer Music at DePaul: The School of Music will offer a collection of intensive learning opportunities for students at various levels in their education careers. From a residency for new music to instrument intensives, participants will learn together with world-renowned School of Music faculty. Learn more and apply​.

The Theatre School training program: TTS' Summer High School Training Program is designed for rising 11th and 12th grade students who want to taste intensive conservatory training that supersedes limitations and unlocks the riches inherent within uncharted creative territory. Students will take classes in one of six concentrations - acting, comedy arts, design, directing, playwriting, or stage management/theatre technology.
