Susan Bandes, College of Law. (DePaul University/Jeff Carrion)In December, the Fulbright Program commission selected the College of Law's Susan Bandes as a 2019 Fulbright Specialist. Bandes, an emeritus centennial distinguished professor of law, will work for a project at Uppsala University in Sweden beginning in May of this year.
As a Fulbright Specialist, Bandes will work with her host university to help establish a new research center on emotions, institutions and norms. Bandes also will engage in a variety of other activities designed to foster interdisciplinary and comparative exchange, including academic seminars, a two day workshop for scholars and practitioners and meetings with scholars, graduate students, practitioners, judges and other participants in the Swedish legal and academic community.
