The Coleman Entrepreneurship Center invites the DePaul community to participate in a meaningful conversation about the challenges and opportunities of diversity in entrepreneurship organizations on Monday, Jan. 29. Open to the public, this year's Coleman Entrepreneurship Center Entrepreneurship Symposium "Diverse Entrepreneurs: Changing the Face of Leadership," will feature keynote speaker, Genevieve Thiers, the author, disruptor and founder of Sittercity.com. A panel discussion will include entrepreneurs sharing their stories and facilitating dialogue with attendees.

Panelists include:
  • Omar Duque, CEO, Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce
  • Lawrence Hamer, DePaul University Professor and Associate Provost for Academic & Faculty Affairs and Diversity Initiatives
  • Joan Hannant, CEO, The Soma Institute
  • Kristi Ross, co-CEO and President of tastytrade
The Coleman Entrepreneurship Center also will present awards to alumni, faculty and a student in the DePaul Coleman Entrepreneurship Center community who are successful entrepreneurs.
