Across the world, the COVID-19 pandemic has dramatically altered urban life. But through it all, city residents have not only adapted and carried on but also discovered new, and often unexpected, joys.

Those sources of solace will be the topic of This Blissful City, an international literary event hosted by “Slag Glass City," a nonfiction journal engaged with sustainability, identity and art in urban environments.

Set for June 4, the virtual event will feature contributors from around the world to read their work. All are welcome to RSVP and attend. Barrie Jean Borich, “Slag Glass City" editor and an associate professor of English at DePaul, will host the celebration. More information about the featured contributors is available on the event's registration page.
