the Tibetan Monks of Drepung Gomang Monastery
In 2015, the Tibetan Monks of Drepung Gomang Monastery created a sand mandala during a visit to DePaul's Lincoln Park Campus. The monks will be back at DePaul beginning Oct. 29 to again share the ancient art. (DePaul University/Jamie Moncrief)
From Monday, Oct. 29 through Friday, Nov. 2, the Tibetan Monks of Drepung Gomang Monastery will visit DePaul University. During their visit, the monks will engage in the step-by-step creation of a traditional sand mandala, an ancient art form of Tibetan Buddhism.

All members of the university community are invited to witness the art creation and participate in associated events throughout the week.
