In the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul and St. Louise de Marillac, the Congregation of the Mission established the Vincentian Assistance Fund to provide short-term, emergency financial support to DePaul students, faculty and staff. Managed by the Division of Mission and Ministry, funds are available to university community members facing hardships due to the COVID-19 outbreak.

Reasons for fund requests can include unexpected medical expenses, help with a security deposit on a new apartment to escape domestic violence or funeral costs from a death in the family. The amounts provided are made on a case by case basis.

This expression of Vincentian personalism honors the dignity of our DePaul community members who find themselves in times of crisis. Recipients of the VAF are not required to pay back what they receive, but they are asked to find a small way in which to “pay it forward" by doing something kind or charitable for others.

To support others by donating to the Vincentian Assistance Fund, visit the fund's page on InspireDePaul. To request assistance via the VAF, fill out this form.
