Established in 1992 through a gift from the Congregation of the Mission, the Vincentian Endowment Fund is designed to enhance the Catholic, Vincentian Mission of DePaul. The Division of Mission and Ministry annually provides students, staff and faculty the opportunity to apply for grant funds awarded through VEF. In the past, these funds have supported faculty research, hosting conferences or events on campus, and social justice and community service initiatives in Chicago. Applications for this year's cycle are due by Tuesday, Oct. 15.

Information sessions scheduled for this month will provide more details of this year’s application process:

Monday, Sept. 23
1 - 2 p.m.
55 E. Jackson Blvd., suite 801

Tuesday, Sept. 24
1 -2 p.m.
Lincoln Park Student Center, room 380

Decisions for this year's Principal VEF Grants applications will be communicated by the end of November 2019. The funds will become available to recipients on Jan. 1, 2020. Most Principal VEF Grants will not exceed $5,000 in funding, but some multi-year grants have been awarded for as much as $10,000.

Discretionary VEF Grant Applications, for requests up to $1,500, are accepted year round, while funds are available. Decisions on Discretionary VEF Grant Applications are usually made within 2-3 weeks of submitting an application. If awarded, the Discretionary VEF Grant dollars will be available for recipients shortly after approval. Apply for a Discretionary VEF Grant here.
