Do you do purpose-driven work? Do you have a socially conscious story to tell? Take part in the College of Computing and Digital Media’s inaugural Vinny Prize Mixer on Friday, Jan. 25. All faculty, staff and students are welcome to participate.

Sponsored by the Division of Mission and Ministry, the event invites members of the DePaul community to pitch their stories on socially conscious work being done in the community. Student filmmakers, animators and media creators are also invited to listen to ideas and potentially collaborate on a media project for the Vinny Prize competition

The incentive for story pitchers is a two to five minute media piece produced by CDM students, intended to help bring visibility to the pitcher’s cause. Student filmmakers and digital creatives also will have the opportunity to submit their film to win this year’s $3,000 Vinny Prize.

This year's theme for the Vinny Prize explores how career paths and academic pursuits can intersect with a deeper sense of purpose.Types of accepted media include documentary shorts, narrative shorts, whiteboards, animations, games and vlogs. All media must be original content created for the Vinny Prize.
