DePaul employees running Windows 10 versions prior to the Fall Creators Update (Windows 1709) will soon see a popup message stating than an upgrade is available for installation. When prompted, Information Services strongly recommends users schedule their upgrade to occur outside of normal work hours. The upgrade to Fall Creators Update may take more than two hours to complete and may require several reboots.
Please note, any computer still running a Windows 10 version prior to the Fall Creators Update (Windows 1709) will be forcibly updated beginning March 26.
Windows 10 computers will be updated regularly to maintain a version that is supported by Microsoft.
Additionally, Microsoft will end support for Windows 7 in January 2020. Information Services strongly encourages all users to upgrade their Windows 7 computers as soon as possible.
