Faculty and staff: Register for upcoming President's Book Club discussion

Lincoln Park Campus

In partnership with the Office of the President and DePaul University Libraries, the Office of Institutional Diversity and Equity will host the 2022 President's Book Club discussion on Monday, Nov. 14. This year's hybrid discussion will focus on Heather McGhee's book, "The Sum of Us: What Racism Costs Everyone and How We Can Prosper Together." All faculty and staff are welcome to register for the program.

McGhee draws on insights gleaned from travel across the U.S., work at public policy and advocacy organization demos, and life experience as a Black American woman to examine why racism is harmful to all Americans, not just the people most affected by it. In the process, she demonstrates why it is in everyone’s best interest to dismantle racial hierarchies.

The first 200 registrants are eligible to receive a free copy of the book. Please bring a copy of your Eventbrite ticket to either the John T. Richardson Library or the Loop Library to receive your copy. Books will be available for pick up after Oct. 1.
