Screenwriters to gather at DePaul for Courier 12

The Oscar-winning screenwriters of “BlacKkKlansman” are among those gathering at DePaul for the Courier 12 Screenwriting Conference on Saturday, Sept. 28. Hosted by the School of Cinematic Arts on the Loop Campus, Courier 12 is a premier Midwest screenwriting event featuring panel discussions from leading writing talent in the entertainment industry. 
Admission is free, but space is limited and RSVPs are requested. Panelists will include: 
  • ​Oscar-winning screenwriters David Rabinowitz and Charlie Wachtel of “BlacKkKlansman;” 
  • From “Sharknado” to Zombies, David Michael Latt of film company The Asylum on low-budget money-makers; 
  • TV writers Michael Gemballa of “SWAT” and Teresa Guang of “SEAL Team”; 
  • Comedy writers and producers Trevor Albert of "Groundhog Day," Michael McCarthy of “Saturday Night Live” and Fawzia Mirza of “Signature Move”; 
  • And web series producers Stephanie Jeter and Zak Payne.
