Fortune ranks School of Computing master's programs among top in the US for 2025

Master's in computer science, data science, cybersecurity recognized on 2025 lists

Fortune has released school rankings for the best tech programs in the country, featuring several programs in DePaul’s School of Computing. The in-person master’s degree in computer science ranked #7 in the nation, with its online counterpart taking the 8th spot on the 2025 list. The degree allows students to customize the program to their interests to pursue topics such as artificial intelligence or app design.

Fortune also features DePaul’s master’s program in data science, which ranked 26th among the best in the country for 2025, highlighting specializations in computation methods, healthcare and marketing. The program was also ranked #16 in the most affordable data science master’s programs.

The in-person master’s in cybersecurity also earned the 17th spot based on data on enrollment, current students and recent graduates. Graduates from the cybersecurity program are prepared for various careers from corporations to government agencies.
