Information Services recently fixed an outstanding issue relating to receiving incoming calls to a Cisco Jabber softphone client running on the iOS platform. Previously the iOS app was required to be open in the foreground to receive calls. This issue is now resolved.
Calls are now able to be received regardless of whether the app is open in the foreground or in the background. Users can find instructions on using the Jabber phone client in the Information Services

All employees who have an assigned phone number are able to download the Jabber software on supported devices at no cost. iOS, Android, Windows and Mac clients are supported.
