Community invited to interfaith scholars prayer

Interfaith
(DePaul University/Jamie Moncrief)

As a Vincentian community, DePaul University is committed to caring for the most vulnerable in our society and throughout the world. With the full impact of COVID-19 haunting us, we are called to do our very best to support all the victims of the pandemic as well as those who continue to serve with risk to their own well-being.

This week, the Division of Mission and Ministry heeds Pope Francis and other global leaders in offering interfaith prayers for humanity. Pope Francis invites all of us "to unite together spiritually on May 14 in a day of prayer and fasting, to implore God to help humanity overcome the coronavirus pandemic."

Highlights this week will include the 9:05 a.m. Midweek Prayer on May 13, led by Mark Laboe, associate vice president for Mission and Ministry. Additionally, in this season of Ramadan, which focuses on prayer, fasting and reflection, join DePaul's Muslim Chaplain, Imam Abdul-Malik Ryan and DePaul's Interfaith Scholars in a prayer for humanity on Thursday May 14, at 5 p.m. via Zoom.
