Presented by the American Theatre Wing, the OBIE Awards honor Off-Broadway and Off-Off-Broadway artistry.
Soria said
during his acceptance speech, "I started writing this 15 years ago, and it was a class assignment [at DePaul]. I had high hopes for it then.
"This play has taken me around the world," Soria added. "It has taken me to Brazil, to Portugal, to the backroom of a bar and to a festival, to a classroom and Off-Broadway to the OBIE Awards."
