Faculty, staff honored for student mentorship

US and DePaul flags flap in the breeze

Four faculty and staff members have been chosen to receive DePaul's Gerald Paetsch Advising Award, recognizing their excellence in mentoring undergraduate and graduate students.

This year's honorees are:

  • Lindsey Burdick, associate director of pre-health advising for the College of Science & Health;
  • Tania Rodriguez, director of student academic services for the College of Liberal Arts & Social Sciences;
  • Eric Schwabe, an associate professor at the College of Computing & Digital Media; and
  • Janet Sung, an associate professor at the School of Music.

The Paetsch Advising Award highlights outstanding contributions to advising that promotes student success and to the DePaul advising community. The award carries a $2,000 honorarium, and recipients will be recognized at the Academic Convocation in September.
