DePaul President Robert L. Manuel brings his decades of experience in higher education leadership to the Institute for International Education Board of Trustees and the Presidents Advisory Council at EAB, a research, technology and consulting firm focused on helping educational institutions address their most pressing challenges.

“By focusing on innovation, collaboration and inclusivity, EAB is working to transform higher education and help institutions fulfill their mission,” says Manuel, whose term runs the 2024-2025 academic year. “I’m honored to serve alongside leaders from so many distinguished institutions on the advisory council.”

EAB offers data-driven insights, best practices and tools to educational institutions from elementary schools to universities.

The Institute for International Education, known as IIE, helps to prepare students and professionals for the global workforce through designing and implementing international education and exchange programs.

“DePaul has a robust and diverse international student community, as well as an array of international learning opportunities,” says Manuel, who in his previous role as a dean at Georgetown established the Global Education Institute. “I’m thrilled to learn and share more as I support IIE in promoting global education and cultural exchange.”

Manuel joins DePaul Trustee Jack Greenberg, who is a lifetime IIE board member. Manuel’s three-year term began in September.
