This fall, Crain’s Chicago Business named DePaul’s Jose Padilla on its inaugural list of
Notable General Counsels. In addition to general counsel, Padilla also serves as vice president and secretary for the university.
New to the publication, the list aims to recognize 50 general counsels active in civic affairs and pro bono work. Crain’s noted Padilla for the range of topics he and his team cover at DePaul as well as his extensive experience working on federal issues in Washington, D.C., before joining the university in 2005.
