It is with sadness we have learned of the death of Donald Banik, a retired security officer at the Loop Campus. He passed away on Feb. 10 at the age of 86.
Banik is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Ann; five children; five grandchildren; and many extended family and friends. Banik served at the university for 10 years before his retirement in 1999. His colleagues remember him as always smiling, courteous, and ready to share a story.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are appreciated to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Linus Church in Oak Lawn. Online condolences may
