It is with sadness that we have learned of the death of Thomas Anthony LoSasso, the father of Professor Anthony T. LoSasso of the Departement of Economics. He passed away peacefully at age 83 in his home on Sept. 19 surrounded by his family.

LoSasso owned and operated Pyramid Engravers in Park Ridge, Ill. for many years. After retiring, he did not rest. A “Mr. Fix-It," he was always at work in the house and garden. He was a collector who delighted in going to estate and garage sales. LoSasso also enjoyed spending time with family, fishing and following his beloved Cubs. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, four children and four grandchildren. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him.

Visitation is set for Friday, Sept. 25, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Meadows Funeral Home, 3615 Kirchoff Rd., in Rolling Meadows. Funeral Mass is Saturday, Sept. 26, at 11 a.m. at St. Colette Church, 3900 Meadow Drive, in Rolling Meadows. Interment All Saints Cemetery, Des Plaines.

Our sympathy goes to Tony and his family on the loss of his father. May he rest in peace.
