In memoriam: Cheuk Hon Chung, father of CDM's Anthony Chung

It is with sadness we have learned of the death of Cheuk Hon Chung, the father of Anthony Chung, an associate professor in the College of Computing and Digital Media. Chung died in Hong Kong on March 10. May he rest in peace. 

It is with sadness we have learned of the death of Cheuk Hon Chung, the father of Anthony Chung, an associate professor in the College of Computing and Digital Media.

Born in Xinhui, China, Chung moved to Havana, Cuba, at a young age to work with his father. He then moved to and settled down in Hong Kong.

Chung is survived by children: Anthony (Wayne) of Chicago, Wai Tong (Isabella) of Hong Kong, Agnes (Dilys) of Toronto, and Grace of Hong Kong. He also is survived by his grandson, Ho Yeung; his brothers, Bernard and Cheuk Lun; and eight nephews and nieces.   

Chung was preceded in death by his wife, Mee Kam; parents, Ngan Choi, and Ko Kiu; and his brother, Cheuk Pui.

A memorial service will be held on a later date in Hong Kong.
