It is with sadness we have learned of the death of Ray Rychtanek, a database manager in Information Services. He died on March 19 at the age of 55. May he rest in peace.
A member of IS for nearly 35 years, Rychtanek was a beloved colleague, known for his positive attitude, sense of humor and tireless work at DePaul. He was an avid Chicago sports fan, and enjoyed golf, bowling and playing the drums for various bands. Born and raised in Chicago, he was a proud alumnus of Lane Tech High School, Wright Jr. College and DePaul University.
A celebration of life service will be held Saturday, May 7, from 12 – 3 p.m. at Salerno's Rosedale Funeral Chapel in Roselle, Ill. Memorial donations can be made to the Spondylitis Association of America or any other charity. Condolences and an obituary can be found online.
