It is with sadness that we have learned of the death of Marilyn Mintzes Skilken, mother of Beth Skilken Catlett, an associate professor of Women's and Gender Studies and director of the Faculty Scholarship Collaborative. Skilken passed away peacefully at home on Jan. 16 at the age of 91 in Columbus, Ohio.

Skilken's greatest love was her family. She was the proud mother of four daughters, including Beth (Steve) Catlett, seven grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Her family was the greatest joy and pride of her life.

A private family graveside funeral was held at New Tifereth Israel Cemetery in Columbus. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.  May she rest in peace.
