We are saddened to learn of the July 11 death of Sherri Henderson, international admission coordinator in the Driehaus College of Business.
Henderson served in various roles since joining DePaul in 2003. Most recently, she worked with Hui Lin, director of the Driehaus Center for International Business, supporting student admission for the business college's Bahrain and short-term study abroad programs. An avid traveler, Henderson served as a second administrator on several study-abroad trips. She regularly participated with other DePaul staff members in the Heart Walk, an annual fundraiser benefiting the American Heart Association. She also enjoyed reading and was a fan of the "Game of Thrones" television series, often joining dean’s-office colleagues in discussing the latest episode on Monday mornings.
Henderson was a Triple Demon who earned a B.A. from the School of Continuing and Professional Studies, an M.S. in Public Service with distinction and a M.S. in Information Systems from DePaul.
A memorial service for Henderson will be held Thursday, July 22, at 11 a.m. at New First Church of God in Christ, 1304 Wentworth Ave., in Chicago Heights. More information and an opportunity to share memories about Henderson is available on
this Woods Funeral Home webpage.
We join her family in grieving her loss. May she rest in peace.
