Biking is a convenient, affordable, and sustainable way to travel around DePaul University and between the Lincoln Park and Loop campuses. Choosing to bike helps reduce traffic congestion and environmental impact while providing a healthy and efficient transportation option for students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
DePaul supports bicycle commuting by providing bike racks and storage options at the Lincoln Park campus, making it easy to incorporate cycling into your daily commute or campus travel. Whether you're heading to class, work, or an event, biking is a great way to stay active while supporting the University's sustainability goals.
Lincoln Park Campus Bicycle Parking:
Bike Racks at the Clifton Parking Garage:
Bike racks are available on the first floor of the Clifton Parking Garage, located at 2330 N. Clifton Ave. These racks are open for public use. Riders are encouraged to bring and use a bike lock to help secure their bicycles.
Secure Bike Corral at McCabe Hall:For a more secure storage option, DePaul provides a bicycle corral located at the north portico of McCabe Hall. Access is available at no cost to DePaul students, faculty, and staff. To obtain access, users must complete the Bike Corral Form, after which swipe card access will be granted.
**Please note we do not allow motorized bikes or scooters in the bike corral area.**
Loop Campus Bicycle Parking:
At this time, the Loop Campus does not offer secure bicycle storage on campus, and bicycles are not permitted inside University buildings. However, there are numerous City of Chicago bike racks conveniently located throughout the campus area for public use.
If you plan to bike to the Loop Campus, please be sure to secure your bicycle with a lock and take appropriate precautions to help protect it while parked.
The DePaul community is also encouraged to register with the Chicago Police Department.
