DWN has had an amazing 2018-2019 year. We have hosted so many events, served different communities and had lots fun to boot. This past service year has been especially rewarding for me. I was nominated as Woman of Spirit and Action, I was able to assist in coordinating a
number of our events and I even took on a Director role within DWN. But my favorite part of this year was meeting so many other talented and remarkable women within DePaul. Experiencing other women be trailblazers while encouraging and supporting each other has been one of the my most rewarding experiences. I cannot wait to see what next year brings!
I'm not the only who had a great time this past year. Look below to read member remarks and see photos from our signature events.

Member Remarks
Book Club
"The book club has exposed me to new books that I have really enjoyed reading. We had a great discussion at the one last quarter for Educated by Tara Westover." - Katie Saur, Programming Team Member
The Mother of Littles
"The Mothers of Littles event was well-attended by a diverse group of mothers that offered many different insights and suggestions. Rich conversation for a short period of time. I came away with some useful information and met a few other moms to add to my network." - DWN Member-At-Large
Brown Bag Series
"The conversation among us was deep and lively. We had a bonus in that we watched a clip of author Tara Mohr speaking about one of the chapters." - Deborah Holton, Event Facilitator
DWN Faculty Forum
"Professor Klimas brought a few of her female students who also presented their research as part of her presentation. I certainly learned a lot and was really impressed with Professor Klimas, her research, her sense of humor and how she can explain her research in layman’s terms." - Katie Saur, Programming Team Member
14th Annual High Tea with St. Louise
"I can say that I liked everything about the event. The venue, the timing, the speakers, the food, the activities, the decorations, and most of all the networking opportunity. I met people from the university that I had never met before and I have worked at DePaul for nineteen years. I think it was great and hope to have an opportunity to attend next year and invite co-workers." DWN Member-At-Large
