The Operations team administers DWN's business affairs which include budget, performance tracking, monitoring and reporting, research and planning. The team manages DWNs workflow, assists with coordinating event logistics, provides budget and data analysis, and interprets and applies university policies and procedures for action within DWN.

Core Responsibilities

  • Manages network budget, monitors and evaluates budgetary controls, reconciles financial activity reports, prepares quarterly financial status reports
  • Monitors DWN workflow, advises and makes recommendations on processes and procedures, assists with making network purchases
  • Designs tools and methods to track and report DWN performance, produces quarterly and annual progress reports
  • Provides event planning support, assists DWN teams with catering and event site selection, manages event registration

Additional Required Skills and Abilities

  • Comprehensive knowledge of university policies and procedures
  • Experience designing constituent surveys
  • Ability to perform complex data collection and analysis, prepare executive level reports
  • Experience in budget management
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency managing multiple project schedules, arranging appointments, meetings and conference calls
  • Intermediate to advanced proficiency with office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Acrobat)
In addition to the required skills listed above, the Operations Director has:
  • 3- to 5-years’ experience managing staff and/or medium- to large-scale projects
  • Demonstrated experience developing staff and proven ability to guide less-experienced team members
  • Comprehensive understanding of DWN operations and university procedures
