Applications for a new scholarship through the Division of Mission and Ministry, the Vincentian Service Scholarship, are due Friday, Jan. 18.  Applicants must be first-year students who will have sophomore standing in the 2019-2020 academic year, demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 2.7 GPA.

The application process for the Vincentian Service Scholarship involves completing this online scholarship application as well as participating in one of two forms of service engagement. Options for the service engagement are as follows:
  1. Complete at least four weeks of service with the DePaul Community Service Association during fall 2018 or winter 2019
  2. Participate in a Division of Mission and Ministry Service Immersion over winter break 2018 or spring break 2019
The Vincentian Service Scholars program invites you to be a Vincentian – to work for positive social change and solidarity in the spirit of St. Vincent de Paul with a commitment to one’s own faith and spiritual development. Accepted scholars will engage in opportunities for spiritual growth, leadership development, community service, and interfaith reflection. Examples of required participation include weekly service, quarterly meetings/retreats, and a weekend service immersion experience. Scholars will commit to an average of 3-5 hours a week over the course of the academic year with monthly events interspersed.

More information and the application can be found online.
