For students with commencement ceremonies that require tickets (all except Law, The Theatre School and School of Music),
Early Ticket Pickup on Monday and Tuesday is the first chance to pick up commencement tickets. Please bring your student ID to these events.
Early Ticket Pickup
Monday, April 16
8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
Lincoln Park Student Center - Atrium

Tuesday, April 17
8 a.m. - 7 p.m.
DePaul Center, 11th floor gallery lounge area
1 E. Jackson Blvd.
Don't think you'll use all your commencement tickets? Do your classmates a favor by releasing unneeded tickets at Early Ticket Pickup. Students will receive a ticket for a raffle to win an Apple Watch for each released commencement ticket.
Once tickets are in hand, students are encouraged to keep close track of them. Lost tickets cannot be replaced.
Ticket Lottery
Students who would like the chance to receive additional tickets to their ceremony will have the opportunity to enter their names into a lottery.
Shortly after the April 16-17 Early Ticket Pickup events, the Office of University Events will send an email from
commencement@depaul.edu with lottery instructions to graduating students in ceremonies that require tickets.
Cap and Gown Ordering Deadline Extended to April 27
To give students more time to indicate their plans to attend commencement, the deadline to order a cap and gown has been extended to Friday, April 27. The ordering deadline for Law was March 12.
If students have not already done so, they can order online or at the DePaul Loop Bookstore or DePaul Lincoln Park Bookstore.
Other news:
- Student speaker applications are open until midnight on April 20 for students graduating in the June ceremonies. Eligibility, guidelines, and the submission and selection processes are detailed on the DePaul Commencement website.
- Please familiarize yourself with Wintrust Arena's strict bag and purse policy and share the info with your guests well in advance of commencement day. Anyone carrying a bag or purse that does not comply with the policy will not be allowed inside. In addition, bag check will not be available.
