DePaul students who are or recently enrolled in the First-Year Program are invited to submit their best work for this spring's First-Year Program Writing Showcase. This annual event celebrates the role of writing and writers in academic, public and private lives.

Students may enter up to two projects — project types include ePortfolio, essay, fieldwork interviews or reports, group, multimodal and library research — for review by a panel of faculty judges from across the university. Entries must be written from the spring quarter of 2022 through the winter quarter of 2023 for a First-Year Program class, and the deadline for submissions is April 12.

Winners will be announced the week of May 1 and invited to present their work May 24 in a celebratory campus event. Each honoree will also receive a certificate and a $50 award.

More information, including examples of previous honorees' work, can be found online. Contact the University Center for Writing-based Learning with questions.
