DePaul has announced two expanded transportation options for students on campus. The inter-campus shuttle between the Loop and Lincoln Park Campuses will be offered throughout the 2022-23 academic year. The Vinnie Van service from the Lincoln Park Campus to residential addresses close to campus will be offered each quarter throughout the academic year and with expanded hours during finals week.

Free inter-campus shuttle service now trackable via an app

The inter-campus shuttle was piloted in the spring and was a great success, so it’s back for 2022-23. The shuttle runs on a continuous loop from 4 to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday between the Loop and Lincoln Park campuses. Pick-up and drop-off is in front of the DePaul Center on Jackson Boulevard in the Loop and in Lot H behind the Lincoln Park Student Center.

Students can track the shuttle location with an app. Instructions on how to download the app are available on the Parking Services web page. To use this free service, students need only show their valid DePaul ID. The shuttle does not run during the summer/December intersession terms, breaks or on university holidays.

Free Vinnie Van service on, around the Lincoln Park Campus

Once only offered during finals week, the Vinnie Van from the Lincoln Park campus to residential addresses near campus within specified boundaries will now be offered each quarter throughout the academic year, with extended hours during finals week. The service runs Sunday through Thursday from 8 p.m. to 12 a.m. Students can check the Parking and Shuttle Services web page for dates and hours during finals week.

Please note there are no services on Friday or Saturday.

As with the inter-campus shuttle, pick-up is in Lot H behind the Lincoln Park Student Center during most of the quarter. Check the Parking and Shuttle Services website for the pickup location for finals week. Students fill out a brief form that will include their residential address within the specified boundaries for drop-off. Students need only show a valid DePaul ID to use the service.

Both the inter-campus shuttle and Vinnie Van buses will have magnetic signs indicating the service: either "Inter-campus Shuttle" or "Vinnie Van." Drivers also will announce the service to riders before they depart.
