Jeanette Estrada is the Site Manager of the Jumpstart program for the
Egan Office of Urban Education and Community Partnerships. She has been
part of the Jumpstart program for eight years and oversees the
recruitment and training of DePaul students to help develop the language
and literacy skills of preschool children living in under-resourced
communities. Part of her work includes developing and maintaining
collaborative relationships with partner schools in the West Town, North
Lawndale and Pilsen communities. Jeanette has also worked with
community organizations such as Logan Square Neighborhood Association,
where she conducted research on Kindergarten readiness, specifically
focusing on immigrant families from the Greater Logan Square Area.
Jeanette was a first-generation college student and holds a B.A. in
Psychology from DePaul University with a concentration focus on Human
Development and a Minor in Early Childhood Education.
