Membership Types

Community Memberships

If you're not associated with the University, you're eligible for our community rate. Please note that a non-refundable initiation fee is required upon joining. Community memberships grant access to the facility during all hours.

One Month Community Membership: $130

Membership is valid for one month following the date of purchase. No initiation fee required.

Blue Memberships

• Blue Member Hours:
• Monday - Thursday: 8 am - 3 pm; 9 pm - 11 pm (8 pm - 10 pm during DePaul summer and winter breaks)
• Friday - Sunday: Unrestricted Access

Faculty/Staff Memberships

New to The Ray? Experience a Ray Membership with a free one-week trial to try us out and discover what The Ray can offer you! 

The Faculty/Staff membership is available to current DePaul University employees, university retirees, sub-contracted employees (minimum of 20 hours per week), Vincentians, Daughters of Charity, and Friends of DePaul working on campus. 

• Verification documentation is required. 
• Part-time or adjunct employees may purchase a quarterly membership only for the quarter/semester they are teaching. 

Summer Memberships

• Undergraduate students enrolled in 8 credit hours or more through the summer have their membership included in their fee package.
• Students can opt out through Campus Connect. 
• Go to navigation bar, self-service, student resources, Campus Recreation Opt Out.
• A summer membership is $45 for the following groups
• Undergraduate students considered part-time for the summer
• Undergraduate students not enrolled in summer classes with proof of enrollment for the previous or upcoming quarter
• Grad Students
• Law Students

Beginning Fall 2025

• As part of DePaul's comprehensive fee, ALL DePaul Univeristy students will have access to the Ray Meyer Fitness & Recreation Center, as well as free programs such as intramural sports and group fitness classes.

Spouse or Second Domiciled Adult (SDA) Memberships

• Spouses or unrelated SDAs of students may purchase a membership at a discounted rate (i.e., the spouse/SDA of a student member would pay $90 for a quarterly pass).
• An affidavit of eligibility will be completed at the time of enrollment to confirm eligibility.

Spring Semester Access Dates (Law Only): December 16 - June 15, 2025

Spring Quarter Access Dates: March 17 - June 15, 2025

Summer Quarter Access Dates: June 2 - September 12, 2025

Alumni & Recent Alumni Memberships

• The alumni rate is available to DePaul University graduates.
• Proof of graduation (DePaul University alumni card, diploma, or transcripts) is required at time of joining.
• Recent graduates receive the recent alumni rate for the first year if they join within 12 months of their graduation date; proof of graduation must have date of conferral.
• Alumni may self-sponsor for $16 a visit. Proof of graduation and photo ID are required.

Visiting Student Memberships

• To qualify for a visiting student membership, visiting students must present a valid student ID from their college or university and proof of enrollment for that semester.
• During summer months, students may show previous spring enrollment or upcoming fall enrollment. 

Rosalind Franklin University Memberships

• Currently, enrolled Rosalind Franklin students may purchase a membership at the DePaul student rate.
• A letter of eligibility, provided by Rosalind Franklin, and a photo ID are required at the time of joining.

DePaul Harold Washington Academy Students (DHWA)

• Currently, enrolled DHWA students have access to The Ray and Loop Fitness Center included with their tuition package.
• Students must present a valid student ID and proof of enrollment for that quarter.
• Students may not participate in Intramurals or Club Sports but are eligible for other programs and pay student rates for any fee-based programs/services.
