Enhanced caregiving support benefits through 2021

Bright Horizons

Through the end of 2021, benefits-eligible faculty and staff have access to enhanced benefits for caregiving services offered through Bright Horizons.

Usual co-pays that apply to backup care services provided by Bright Horizons are being waived through 2021, meaning you can reserve care for your child or adult loved one at no cost. Benefits-eligible employees have access to 15 days/uses of backup care per year.

An additional tutoring benefit is being offered through 2021. The backup-care benefit can be used to reserve an experienced tutor to help 5- to 18-year-old children with homework or dedicated support in a specific subject. Each backup-care use can be exchanged for four hours of virtual tutoring. Please note, virtual tutoring is not childcare. Tutors are not considered caregivers or Bright Horizons personnel. A parent or guardian must be available to supervise during all virtual tutoring sessions.
