**Updated on Nov. 16 with new workshop date.**

Are you thinking about the next steps in your career at DePaul? If so, the Office of Human Resources invites you to participate in the Staff Career Development Workshop at DePaul. This program, offered by the Office of Human Resources, in partnership with Staff Council, is part of the university's continued commitment to invest in the professional development of our employees. This one-day program is designed to provide you with knowledge, skills and coaching to empower you to achieve your career goals at DePaul.

Our workshop sessions will help you to personalize career and job search strategies by:
  • Understanding how to leverage current career trends
  • Using your strengths and talents to identify the best careers and jobs for you
  • Perfecting your pitch so decision makers understand who you are and what you want
  • Writing resumes and cover letters that get noticed
  • Preparing to ace the interview

The next workshop will be Thursday, Dec. 6 from 9:30 a.m. - 4 p.m. in the Lincoln Park Student Center. Pre-work will be sent to those participants who confirm their attendance. Participation is limited to 25 participants and the spaces fill up quickly.  RSVP to Jessica Cook at jcook19@depaul.edu

Each session will blend lecture and practice to allow for a personalized and interactive experience. Because the sessions are fast paced with time to personalize the information to your needs, it will be important to complete approximately three hours of pre-work prior to the session. All of the pre-work is designed to help you achieve your career goals with tools that can be used again and again.

Participants who complete the program are eligible for an hour of one-on-one career coaching with HR staff.

We hope you can join us for this exciting day. Contact Jessica Cook at (312) 362-6332 with any questions.
