The annual benefits open enrollment period begins today, Oct. 28. Benefits open enrollment is a once-a-year opportunity for faculty and staff to evaluate their needs and enroll for benefits. New elections and changes must be made by Friday, Nov. 8, and will take effect Jan. 1, 2020.
What's changing for 2020
- The Health Savings Account employee-only contribution limit will increase from $3,500 to $3,550. The family contribution will increase from $7,000 to $7,100
- Transit Account and Flexible Spending Account increases have not yet been announced by the IRS. If you elect the maximum contribution amounts for any of these accounts and the maximum increases after open enrollment ends, HR will notify you via email.
