As of March 29, all higher education employees in Illinois are now eligible to sign up for the COVID-19 vaccine. Though appointments may be difficult to find at first, the Office of Human Resources highly encourages everyone at DePaul to be vaccinated for COVID-19 at their first opportunity.

Employees receiving a COVID-19 vaccination, or who experience side effects from the vaccination, can use paid time off.

Non-exempt employees, including hourly student employees, are being granted up to two hours of paid time off to receive the vaccine, if necessary. These hours can be reported by using the "Early Close" payroll time type on their timecard.

All employees can use sick time for vaccination appointments or for any time needed to recover from possible side effects from the vaccine that some people have experienced. Find details about DePaul's sick leave benefit on the Office of Human Resources website.

DePaul will continue to share university updates about COVID-19 through Newsline and DePaul's COVID-19 Updates and Guidance website, including the COVID-19 Vaccine webpage. You may also email DePaulCommunityHealth@depaul.edu if you have any questions.
